"Durga Rani" is a translation of the French series of the same name, written by J. Sylvère (pseudonym of René Théveni) and drawn by Pellos (pseudonym of Rene Pellarin). It originally appeared in the French girls' magazine Fillette in 1946.

The strips in the back of the book (in this issue "El Negrito Floridor" but others in other issues) appear to be taken from the British comic papers like "Film Fun."
