They split up and Dorothy gets a ride with farmer Jay. Jay and his mother hire her to work on their chicken farm. The police arrive but Jay defends Dorothy and she realizes they love each other. Dorothy meets Rick to tell him she’s through, but he forces her to accompany him. Dorothy causes the car to wreck and they’re caught. Dorothy is released in Jay and his mother’s custody.
