Notes"Bala Certera" is an early publication from famous Spanish publisher Editorial Bruguera. It follows the adventures of Abel Canes, a valiant Spanish writer/adventurer nicknamed "Bala Certera," which might be translated as "Sure Shot." The series ran eight 12-page issues starting in either 1942 or 1944 (sources differ). In its old-fashioned format panels with dialogue are stacked above large blocks of text. Scripts are by R. Roca, art by Ramón Sabatés Massanell. Sabatés, as he signed himself, was out of his usual territory here; he enjoyed a long, distinguished career drawing cartoons and humor strips.
