Yet more future fodder for Fass ' Eerie Publications titles ! "CATS' PAW" is one story I do recall reading it in Weird , Voodoo Tales , Witches Tales etc etc. Not sure which but way back then it was great read!

Very odd! Based on the cover, I'd have expected the stories contained within to be overtly science-fictional, but what we have here is another typically weird/supernatural fantasy anthology.
Though the cover blurbs "Gravestone for Gratis!," that story has no connection to the cover image.

Synopsis
A re-telling of legendary angelic archers assisting World War I British soldiers at the Battle of Mons. First told by Arthur Machen his 1914 story, The Bowmen. Arthur Machen said he totally made up the story, but that didn't stop rumors of the events being real.
Penciller credit of "Willams" is based on this name appearing on a tombstone in the background, along with "Lee" on another tombstone. Artist may be Lee Williams? Information noted by Bill Devine.
