Samuel Mulford got the surprise of his life when he journeyed to England to protest an unjust royal claim. It all happened because Mulford, while in England, was the victim of pickpockets. And it made him mad enough to devise a scheme to catch a thief. Mulford sewed fishhooks inside his pockets, and before long, he caught himself a real live thief. Mulford caused so much attention with his cleverness, he was invited to be received by the House of Lords. Believe It or Not!
