SynopsisI was listening to the testimony of a racetrack tout named Willigan regarding the murder of a popular horse trainer. The tout claimed the jockey was guilty of the murder and spoke freely about it. He told us, "I saw the jockey when he got to the track. He went right into the tack room where the murder took place and changed into his jockey silk. Then an attendant helped him to his mount for the first race. No question he had time to kill the trainer". "I'll question that", I said. "And I think you're the man who committed the murder". I'll explain. In the case of the racetrack run-around, the witness said the jockey changed into his silk and went right out for the first race. He would have had to be weighed in for the race first. A small detail that trapped the real killer.
