Chuck returns and he and Robin reconcile. |

Barbara asks her father to give Norman a promotion, but Norman won’t accept it. Norman’s firm begins to fail and Barbara prevents the local banker from extending him a loan. Norman goes back to work in the factory, but just before he marries Barbara, Norman learns what she did. He breaks up with her. Barbara becomes a nurse to become “useful” and hopes Norman will return some day. |

Tim later says he wants to stay married to his rich wife but Eva can be his mistress. Nicky punches Tim. Eva and Nicky go home together. |
