I really liked the first issue of this comic. As we know it had a different illustrator after the first issue but from issue 2 onward, the writing just feels different and less to my liking, too. The island becomes less mystical and more cramped. Is it worth reading the rest ?

Never read these comics.  I see what you mean, Bob Powell takes over art from issue 2. He's no slouch, so give them a go.  I'll have a read too, even though It's not my favourite genre.  Ta.

Hi there! I agree the artwork is still good, though I prefer Frazetta's style. There's something about the style of storytelling in issue 2  that I don't like as much. According to the Fizzpop youtube channel, there was a dispute at Magazine Enterprises about the style of Thun'Da and that's evident in reading it. But what the heck, I'll give a few more issues a go!

I'm glad I decided to stick with it, issue 3 is much better than issue 2 in my opinion.

As an aside, this comic is also an interesting reflection of cultural change across decades, so much of it would be politically incorrect in the eyes of some people now.

How Frazetta drew the fight with a sabretooth tiger in issue 1 definitely came across as more effective than how Powell drew the fight in issue 2.
