Horror story I'm trying to remember
« on: December 03, 2024, 12:45:03 PM »

I remember reading a story in a horror comic book here where an American man travels to another country (possibly India or Malaysia) searching for a lost race of were-tigers. Someone performs the Indian rope trick, where they play a flute and cause a rope to rise into the air like a snake, and when he climbs the rope, he finds the were-tiger people who are ruled by a queen who falls in love with him. It ends badly, with some of the were-tigers killed and the American climbs the rope one last time (I think he was escaping a worse death), and the rope is destroyed after he climbs it, trapping him forever in the were-tiger realm where the surviving were-tigers attack him.
Can you tell me what issue of what comic book this story appeared in?
I've searched Grand Comics Database and Google for were-tigers and tiger queen, but haven't found the right story.
