A few points of interest in this funny animal comic: 1. Woody the Woodpecker!? Not to be confused with the cartoon "Woody Woodpecker," of course, this one is blue not red (and he has a crow sidekick that's a black stereotype). 2. Snuggy story is World War II oriented, as he and his insect friends fight invading "Japanese beetles." 3. The Bumbie story breaks the fourth wall, with the comic book itself as a character. 4. Super Duck was much better later, when Al Fagaly took over and converted him to the non-superhero "Cockeyed Wonder" (sort of a sitcom Donald Duck clone).
