For those of you who are interested (and who have deep pockets), Anderson & Garland Ltd Newcastle, auctioneers, are running a gigantic comics sale. The overwhelming majority are Marvel titles, but later in the list are picture libraries, annuals, Alan Class, etc. Of great interest to me was a number of original cover paintings for the likes of Tina and Schoolgirls' Picture Library. To my mind the best stuff starts around lot 700. There are stacks and stacks of lots to pick through. If you're like me, pick through is all you'll do. Hardly any lots have estimates less than 50 GBP with most going north of 100.
