Here is a truly freakish coincidence regarding the story Honeymoon Horror. After reading it this morning I started reading a story in a pulp crime reprint magazine called Verdict from July 1953, found at Internet Archive. SAME STORY. Revenge, by Samuel Blas. What are the odds of finding two versions of the same story on the same day in two randomly selected publications? I'd say a couple zillion to one. I see in the notes a history of the reappearances of this story in other forms, so here is another to add to it. Considering the timeframe, it is possible that the '53 printing in Verdict could be the source for this '54 version.

Good catch, nenslo.  That is a wild coincidence.  I was the GCD indexer who added the other appearances of this plot in comics, and I can even add one more "similar" story (which wasn't comics-related, so I didn't mention it there):  a TV-movie in 1976 titled "Revenge for a Rape" has the same "twist" (man kills wife's rapists, discovers he killed the wrong people).  Samuel Blas probably got a few bucks for reprints of his story and the Hitchcock adaptation, but the comic books that "borrowed" his plot are just (as they say) "the sincerest form of flattery."
