Our friends at Flashback Universe Blog have an interesting Thunder Agents feature today.

Also, check out the comments for interesting info on the copyright/trademark regarding these classic characters.

My wife and I were on holiday in Palma de Mallorca and what did we find?  Only this amazing Wally Wood exhibition:-
http://potrzebie.blogspot.com/2010/09/woodwork.html
A wide range of Wood comics, E.C.; Avon; Marvel; D.C.; Tower; MAD etc. original art and some lovely Fireball XL5 stuff. And, as Thunder Agents were mentioned, there were a number of original art pages incl. the cover to Dynamo #3, which has to be among my all time favourite covers.
Of course there was a sampling of his MAD pages, still funny today.
I have the intro. sheet for the exhibition and if anyone wants a read (they are in Spanish or Mallorquin, sorry - no English ones)  I can email them.
This gallery hosts a number of comics exhibitions.  Last time I was in Palma, I saw Gilbert Shelton who was opening a retrospective of his work.  Free wine and a great night.

Hi, paw,
This exhibition was curated by Fred Manzano of Editions Deesse in Paris. Several of the Fox comic pages and a couple of the Youthful scans are from my comics. I have to meet up with Fred next week to get my comics back and to get my copy of the exhibition catalog. I didn't get down to Mallorca, but I was there in spirit.

There was a John Buscema exhibit there last year.

Peace, Jim (|:{>

Hi, JVJ, You'll be pleased to know that this is a seriously good exhibition, not least thanks to your offerings.  Even my wife, who isn't really a comics fan, was taken with this one and spent much more time there than I thought she would.  It's a shame you couldn't be there as it would have been a pleasure to meet you and, perhaps, have a drink and a meal.  You are probably aware that there aren't many places now on the island to find old, original, Spanish comics but the good people at Norma comics (Joan, particularly) can point you in the right direction.  And, just to annoy me, I suppose, I found in Norma, album collections of Kelly's Eye; Zarpa de Acero (Steel Claw); Trigan Empire (all new editions) which we can't get here in G.B. plus newspaper strip volumes that aren't available here and I would have to buy from the States.
So, from Pere in his little, incredibly untidy store (which we eventually found, following Joan's directions), I found umpteen issues of Don Z; a few issues of El Duende; a really rare old mini sized Phantom and more great stuff than you could shake a stick at.  Ran out of cash just about then.
If most of the above is of no interest, sorry, I do get a bit carried away.  You would have enjoyed this one.
