My uncle's wife gave me this issue of TOMMY OF THE BIG TOP when I was a kid. I liked it a lot, already very familiar with the strip, since it was a King Features daily in 1946 /1947. I had a clubhouse in a shed in the back yard, much like the boys in Little Lulu had, and I kept my comics there. One winter someone broke in and stole a big stack of my comics, including this one. It took me over thirty years to find a replacement, and even though I have it again, I couldn't resist re-reading it when I found it here! If you're under fifty, you may not understand how exciting stories of circus life were to us way back then!
