There has been a failed attempt to upgrade the software running the site.
None of the admins or mods can access the control panel for the site to add new scans OR FIX BROKEN PASSWORDS.

Please be patient and check back in a while.

As long as you can see "{userdb_js}" in the top left of the site you likely can't log in.

 I can still see that little dingus up at the top, but somehow I was able to log in on despite that. I don't know if the system is clearing up or if I just experienced a fluke that won't be repeatable. I haven't tried downloading anything since before the problem began, so I don't know if if could or not.

Basically, I was just checking to see if the situation was the same, and decided to leave a message, because I may not be able to do that again for awhile.

I'm sure this will get sorted out eventually.

Yes that's the way it worked for me, (always logged in option), I only had a cryptic message for a few hours before I could "see" the site again, and I tried downloading a few files and that worked fine, but haven't yet uploaded a file yet though the info page for it comes up, so it should work fine for me at least, we'll see when I do try it though. I'll get back if it doesn't work yet.

The only thing I ask of your technical people by now is that the site members affected by the faulty software should be treated just as if they had been able to log in.

Hi Yoc -- is there an update available as to when the fix will be accomplished? I am fortunately able to download without being signed in as long as I wait an hour or so between downloads, but obviously this has been made easier for me because you guys haven't went into an upload frenzy thus far.

Sorry gang, no news to report.
As long as only two of us can directly upload (that I know of) you wont be seeing a 'flood of scans.'
Narf and I can upload and then give the credit to the proper person.
I unfortunately have an extremely slow upload speed and a monthly bandwidth limit that I'm always bumping into so the more scans Narf can add the better, for me anyways.

When I get any news I'll be sure to pass it along.

Please be sure to notify me if you put anything on the ftp. Currently all that can be done is for me  or Yoc to download it then re-up it in your name. Can take time and effort so do not get upset if we do not get to it right away. Please continue to do so though.

Does it update when you check your user CP? Did you try clearing your browsers cookies for the site and then logging in? For some the limit is resetting and for others it is not, so it might not be the site that is the cause of the problem. Probably it is the site though but no harm trying other options.

If the download limits were removed in 2008 why am I still constantly getting this message:

I get it even when I initially log-in prior to downloading anything.

Please read the yellow News link at the top of every page.

Limits for newbies have been put in place since we moved servers.  200mb or 20 scans per 24hrs
Check your USER_CP to see what your current limit is.

Hi there, not only can't I download but I can't sign in.  I'm using the same i.d.for this forum as for the download site. So although I can sign in here, the download pages wont accept my user name and/or password.  Sorry to add to your problems but thought you should know.

Check to make sure your browser is set to allow JavaScript to run (otherwise the login redirect fails to execute and the login cookie never gets set). Every time I update my browser I forget to do this...

Ta.  I can now sign in but as usual, I get the error message. The fix tip for starting the download doesn't work for me.  So no downloads. And I was so looking forward to finding out more about Authentic Police Cases.  Oh well,  I'll keep trying.

Hey! I just registered and my user CP says that I have exceeded my download limit. I have not yet downloaded a single comic as a registered user!
