The excluded Felix strip is 'Felix Gets Fuelish', originally published in Pat Sullivan's Felix the Cat #33. Kokey Koala changed his appearance during his run in his own title after #6 - before, he had ears drawn as furry, but after they looked hairless (but were coloured as furred on the covers). Kokey's appearance here, he is in his later depiction on the cover but with distinctly drawn hair in the interior. One further note about Choclit: he's drawn in a style more reminiscent of black characters in American comics rather than contemporary depictions of Australian Aborigines in comics. (Compare Choclit's face with that of the Spirit's offsider, Ebony.) Maybe they were hoping to sell the character to the US market? Stories of Kokey, Choclit and Splash Platypus (the strip from this comic) had a single American issue of Kokey Koala published by Toby Press in 1952. (thanks to Robb_K for drawing this American publication to my attention!)
