I've put together a small compilation of Terry Brent stories from School Friend, using scans form my own collection and scans from Boutje Fedankt's defunct website.

A compilation of The Flaming Avenger illustrated text story from Rover, 1933.  Wasn't sure what was the best section to host this.  It's currently in Compilations but if anyone prefers it somewhere else, let me know.
This is a costumed superhero with a touch of Iron Man but decades before.  The story appeared in 2, 3 or 4 page, weekly installments and, unfortunately, one 3 page part is missing, but there is a good chance that the missing issue will be re-upped and I can complete the file.  Shouldn't spoil your enjoyment of a rare character.

This is one of a number of illustrated text stories featuring costumed or masked mystery man in early British storypapers, but it is so difficult to find complete serials.

I've re-uploaded the missing issue.  I've also uploaded it to this site if you prefer to get it from here.

A selection of Beaver Patrol single page humour strips from Knockout with art by Reg Parlett.  Thanks to Boutje Fedankt who put this and piles of other collections together.  Thanks also to Kashgar on comicsuk.co.uk who was kind enough to i/d the artist for me.

The Gem - a small pile of new additions.  Thanks to Harmsworth and Friardale who did all the work, I just changed the description slightly to suit our listings.  These are good reads and typical of boys' papers of the time. You can find them here:-

Six-Gun Heroes #77.  Terrible condition and found in a box under a table at a mart. But it's got Gunmaster ;D

Another issue of Corriere dei Piccoli.  Even if you can't read Italian, some of the ads are worth a look.

The British Zorro now has a section under, "L. Miller & Co."  as there are now 2 examples, as I added #88 today.  Please note that #88 features the first part of a 2 part story and I don't have the 2nd. part.  Sorry. These stories are French reprints and I think have been reprinted in Italy also:-

This time I've added Daniel Boone #6 to the L. Miller section.
The original is in bad nick and pages are torn as well as having been printed off centre and badly trimmed.  So lots of cropping on this scan:-

The Rock Riley story might be a Charlton reprint.  Can anyone confirm or otherwise?

I've added a Davy Crockett section to L. Miller.  Also corrected the attribution for DC #04 to reflect that the scanner was ernesto_hombre.

An apology. I wrongly attributed art in Daniel Boone #6 to Castells, so I have altered the notes on that comic. If anyone can i/d the artist on #6, that would be good.  Well, better than the art anyway.
The work, however, does seem to have been done for Mick Anglo Studio.

Modifying this again to note that another issue of Daniel Boone - #31 - has been added to the site and I have created a Daniel Boone section for L. Miller:-

I had forgotten about this comic and found it by accident the other day - filed in the wrong place :-[
Anyway, better late than never, another issue of the French superhero, Fulguros. This time in the tale of The Rajah's Son.  From 1952 and you can find it here:-

A bit of a rarity this time with Whacky Rodeo #2.  This was published in Glasgow by Funnibook Company and up till stumbling on this scan, I'd never heard of the company.  Many thanks to Slinky for the scan.

A new section in British Comics. A. Soloway of London published comics from 1940 to 1949? The section only features one of their titles, All Star Comic, and we have to give all credit to "bede" for the scans.  These are rarities and well worth a look as examples of the type of comic available in the U.K. during the war and right after.

Very interesting to see these books. "Argo" looks great, though it's mostly swipes. However I find "The Man from the Past" most appealing despite its clunky artwork.

What size were these comics? They seem to be wider in proportion to their height than other magazines. Were they "mini" books?
