Thank you movie lover. I have a problem though Piccola Maschera as numbered are incorect. Issue #'s 1,2, and 3 should be marked 7,8, and 9 respectively. I cannot seem to access them to edit and it is probably my bad memory on how to edit for mistakes in books I've posted. Do I need to log in as my Admin privliges? I don't know/remember. Crap-On-A-Cracker I'm going to turn 60 by years end and I swear I cannot believe it! Must be true since loss of memory (and another function) don't seem to work too well these days. Thanks for the help.

Kindly

Jo Jo Comics Issue # 2 Summer 1946 - All funny animals / Humor - Except for the sole super hero ELECTRO Richard Darrow - [only appearance as far as I know].... (not to be confused with the earlier Fox Feature Syndicate character ELECTRO/DYNAMO {Science Comics}). enjoy ! Scans by Mr_Goldenage /

Richard Boucher

Post Script: I have uploaded an alternate version with larger file size from the original scans I did. THe resized one had washed out the colors somehow when they were reduced, probably I reduced pages already reduced (what is that 4th Gen?)...anyways this one is much better.

this version of Moon Girl?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon_Girl

Also, looks like Marvel has dusted off the character, retooled her and Teamed her with Devil Dinosaur last year  http://www.comicbookresources.com/comic-previews/moon-girl-and-devil-dinosaur-1-marvel-comics-2015

Looks like Indy publisher, Red 5, took a stab at it in recent years too

That what I love about this forum, it can lead you down some pretty obscure comic paths that you never knew existed

Exactly.....this is why I think/believe Moon Girl to be PD since Marvel and others are using the character otherwise how could Marvel and Red 5 use an EC character and not invite trouble? No one has objected and more than one company is re-using her. So I think it is safe to post her stories here. I have issues 1 through 6 and issues 1 through 4 of Flats and Slats.....what say you Mr Warner?

I've got the scans. So why not? Let me know before I post the rest. I don't want to waste my time you know?

I don't want to become embroiled in trying to parse what is and is not Public Domain, but I think it's worth noting that Marvel's Moon Girl is from the same universe as Moon Boy, erstwhile companion of Devil Dinosaur. Obviously Marvel/Disney/Corporate Superstate's legal team would have known about EC's Moon Girl but her status isn't really relevant since Marvel is not rebooting the EC heroine. The name is another matter...Marvel can slap a trademark on it (probably already has). They couldn't stop the use of the public domain character but they could prevent anyone using "Moon Girl" on their covers etc. The way they did with Captain Marvel.

Thanks Crash.....so where does this leave us? I say go for it. Of course I am bias because I have the 6 issues of Moon Girl and 4 for Fat & Slats (Which isn't all that great save for a story perhaps in each issue, Marvel Maid for example.) Really it doesn't matter anyways as I am currently posting Issue # 1 on my Facebook page International Comics of the Goldenage (I know Moon Girl is USA but hay we are all "international" to someone).
https://www.facebook.com/groups/ItnternationalGoldenage/

So I'm proceeding to finish editing the other 4 issues. If you want them here great....if not no big deal. But I hope I can share with everyone on a larger scale than I do on FB. After all it is about preservation for me, and the wider it is distributed the likelihood of a copy will always be somewhere. I see it like the Turkish superhero movies of the late 1960's and 70's, except for a scant few, several dozen movies are lost to all time and all that remains are the posters for them to remember them by. That is sad. I don't want that to happen to comics. Especially the ones we're not allowed to post here. Timely, DC/National, and Street & Smith. Those three are ones I post on my facebook group again in an effort to disseminated these books that are "taboo" out there for all to see and save. Just my 2 cents. It's your call guys.

Thanks for listening....
Kindly,

Mark...did we make a determination on Moon Girl Status? Red 5 Pub. has her so I believe she must be PD since the EC estate has not reacted/sued them. Let me know.

Richard

From Red 5

Moon Girl
Masked vigilantes wage class warfare from the roof tops of 1950's New York; it's The Dark Knight meets Mad Men. Clare is an exiled Russian Princess hiding in New York. When enemies from her old life resurface, the repressed Warrior Queen must fight back. Moon Girl becomes a champion of the counter culture and inspires others in this era of social revolution to be more-than-human. But in order to defeat Satana, Sugar Plum Fairy, Tiki Bob and the dangerous forces they represent, Moon Girl will have to overcome her own neurosis!
