Yeah baby..........won the auction. Waiting for shipping cost from Lyons France. Now the question is, since this is a French reprint of an Italian fumetti where would it go once it has been scanned?

Anyone else picking up the Haunted Horror anthology from Yoe Comics?

I missed the first issue but have picked up the others since. I do wish that they would add a couple pages of text providing background on the stories, artists, publishers, etc.. that they are reprinting.

Best

Joe that is another reason I do not think they are worth getting. Anyone could just take our scans and make some books out of them. Added value would be providing information about them.

Richard they should go in French because then it would be readable to them

Sir Narfstar

Then The Masque Vert will go there once I can get a total from the seller and it ships and all that. I find it facinating that it may bare a resemblance to the American Green Mask. Perhaps a predicessor? Who knows but isn't that half the fun of it?

ciao!

Richard

One of these days perhaps I should chat with the GCD cover manager chaps over there.

Just bought 32 issues of Plutos issues 1 through 32 1940's (reprints) Italian. Possible to post here? I also have other Italian books bought and paid for on the way.

Mistero N-27 & N-31
Ragar N's -16-14-18-20-24-26-28-32-38
Alain La Foudre "La Mascherato Verde"

these are all Italian "Golden Age" originals post WW II fumetti. I am sure these are ok to post. If not let me know ok? They should start rolling in over the next weeks to come. The Plutos books were bought and paid for tonight.

They call him....

Technically, I didn't actually purchase anything GA related this week, but I did pre-order the upcoming Shadow double novel.  They're going to finally reprint Gibson's "Golden Master" stories, should be good from what I've heard of them.

Hope they reprint Gladney's intriguing cover as well...

Are the originals hard to come by Narf?

If collecting pulps is anything like collecting comics (and from what l gather, it sorta is) I'll just stick to these reprints.  :)

I've been looking forward to reading these Golden Master stories ever since I first read of them in another Shadow double awhile back.  They seem very similar to those old Fu Manchu novels (never read those either).  Should be interesting... to say the least.

Depending on age and desirability but the cheap ones run around $25. I do not remember how I picked mine up pretty cheaply several years ago. Just got lucky I guess

What an awesome cover. The Phantom vs Zicomer and they both mark the other. Do you have the book?

Just got and read the latest issue of Femforce. The stories are not always consistent but you can always find some good fun stuff. And no one does Kirby like Bill Black. He has a story that looks so Kirby it is amazing. And it is a Not Brand Echh kinda thing so fun stuff.

Also I just visited AtomicAvenue.....big mistake for my wallet....With new books costing over $3 or more how could I resist 50 years old books for much less than that....everyone here benefits as these will be coming my way. We need some more scan editors to step up.

Army Attack 4    VG   $1.75   1   $1.75
    Army Attack 40    G   $2.25   1   $2.25
    Black Fury 47    G   $0.75   1   $0.75
    Black Fury 52    G   $0.75   1   $0.75

The legendary Zigomar - Phantom meeting.  How could anyone not want to have that?
I've had palpitations for years over the possibility of reading it.  So, Foreign Exchange, perhaps?

Paw and I are salivating in anticipation. Since OZ is from the GA I will mention my recommendation for Legend of OZ Wicked West again. It has kept my interest through the mini-series and the regular.

I took some overtime pay and went shopping on ebay. I had purchased some Nostalgia Press coffee-table books, featuring Sunday strips of Prince Valiant and Flash Gordon, about 30 years ago. I was quite surprised to see some companion volumes at very reasonable prices from one seller. Naturally I bought a few, then kicked myself for not buying them all! Also picked up some Jungle Jim strip reprints from Pioneer Comics. Almost have to read these twice- once for the story and once just to enjoy Foster and Raymond's magnificent pen and brush work! Cheers, Bowers
