Hi, glad you like it but I did not scan it. I merely compiled it from the great scans Pappy did. I got his permission, he's all about sharing comics, so he doesn't care when folks grab his scans to put on other sites. I'm also all about sharing comics and so is DCM, where this post came from. I did try to upload it here but it just would not work, glad you got it.

Sharing is the currency of the scanning community and GAC does its share to support that also.

If you need an ftp folder for future use, just let me know.

Thanks again!   ;D

Hi folks. I just uploaded Forbidden Worlds 006, the correct US version from ACG. The 006 scan now on-site, and the only scan I have seen till now, has been of the UK version, which is mostly a black and white reprint of FW 079. Recently some fans noticed that, and the US one was found online by my friend Richard within a day or two of looking. Thanks to the Cyclops gang.

Strange how those things happen.  The US version was scanned at least two years ago and probably more.  Not sure who did it, but we completed the entire FW series a couple of years back.  If you see any other FW problems let me know. They can be fixed.

Howdy, I have just uploaded Reptilicus 001 from Charlton to the Silver Age Side Street. Indicia says only "International copyright secured. All rights reserved." This became Reptisaurus #3 on.

Several more Silver Charltons to upload this weekend as I have time. Two dozen or so if I'm really productive.

I am also going to pass the word that Silver Age Charlton, with the right notice, can be uploaded here. A few guys I know might be interested, esp. for the VIP status.

I still could not upload a cbz. Someone offered a FTP option once but I don't even know exactly what that is.

My last upload today is Reptisaurus 05 in the Silver Age Sidestreet Charlton section. There is a previous scan up but it is small. You can see the art linework better on this one. I called it the "color adjusted" version because I don't know if color corrected would be correct. It may have gone slightly too far. But on the other hand, the color can vary from rich yellow to pale yellow in the captions on the same page, so maybe it was just colored and printed funny from the get go. May as well keep both scans for now, let the people decide, eh?

Thanks Max they are no longer in your folder because they are now onsite  ;D
No big deal but if you think of it make sure the file names are the same as what is already onsite to make for proper sorting. If they are not we can fix them but if they are already the same it saves us a step. for instance Unusual Tales 33 vs 033 vs _33 all would sort differently.

Yeah, I noticed the numbering  thing after I had uploaded, sorry about that.

Is there no overall policy on that, does it vary from title to title? I ask because when I uploaded the Reptisaurus comic the onsite issues of that  title had only two digits. Best bet is to just follow what's already up?

The name of the file itself isn't really relevant except that the name on site defaults to that. The policy is to have the comics listed in order so the general rule we try to follow is 3 digits for the number.  But if it's a short series and other issues are already up with fewer digits it's probably easiest to just follow the leader.

I just uploaded Chamber of Chills 23 from Harvey, scans by Karswell from http://thehorrorsofitall.blogspot.com/
It has the cover (from a previous post here on GAC), 4 stories, 2 Chilly Chamber Music pages, and a house ad.

Chamber of Chills 08 with 3 stories scanned by Karswell coming up next!

I just uploaded Billy the Kid 024 Charlton 1960 into the Silver Age Sidestreet. It is a very good Bumblee-man scan of a not that great condition comic. John Severin drew the cover and three short stories inside.

Indicia states "International copyright secured. All rights reserved."

I should mention that Bumblebee-man used an altered 1970s comic cover as his credit page. It's the first jpeg. I believe it falls very soundly within fair use and parody use requirements. No image remains of the original. Just a border and maybe 9 words and the CCA stamp. But I ain't no lawyer, so who knows. oh wait, that looks like the logo to me... I dunno.

I just uploaded Will Bill Hickok and Jingles 068 from Charlton. Scan by secret admirer. Cover by Maurice Whitman. Two stories by Al Williamson.

I just noticed that this scan is up at DCM, but that is not where I got it. Secret Admirer is not a GAC member, perhaps if anyone knows him/her an invitation could be extended.

I also noticed that fett has a scan of 070 over at DCM. Since he is here, I will ask him to please post it here.
