Another Spanish title today, La Daga Roja, published by Editorial Grafidea, Barcelona.  I can only find 3 issues of the title and as I can't lay my hands on my Spanish comics history books, I'm not sure of the date or whether there were any more issues.  You can find them here:-

And something a bit different now, 2 cigarette card booklets featuring wild flowers. from 1936 and 1939, byt Wills cigarettes.  Both booklets have a charming illo ifc and the cards are in good nick.  I've asked around but no one seems to know who the scanner was.:-

they're right at the bottom.

I've created a new section for cigarette, tea and free cards, but not classic American trading cards.  There are some "new" albums there now:-
https://comicbookplus.com/?cid=3447
I have a few other collections downloaded with no albums so I'll have a think about whether to try to create a cover or just upload them as is.  One set is all .tif images and I don't think they'll work on CB+ Trying to convert now

Managed to convert those tif files to jpg, so we have another album in the cigarette card section:-

This one is An Album of Film Stars Series 1 1934 [John Player & Sons]
Hope you enjoy them.

Been working on this idea for a wee while.  Space Family Rollinson - not Robinson, different strip - ran in Knockout from 772 - 1013 but as not all the issues have been scanned, I thought about using the French reprints from Atome Kid, which turned up on bdmagexhumator.
I've added 2 pages and uploaded the file and you can find it here:-
https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=75982
As there were other stand alone stories in the  Annuals and Fun books which don't appear to have been reprinted in France, I'll have a go at compiling them at a later date.
Art on this strip by Graham Coton, later Ian Kennedy, I think, and in this reprint perhaps some French artists did some re-touching.  Not sure.

Right, then, I made a bit of a horlicks with La Famille Rollinson.  Too busy checking other things to notice there were png images in the original files.  I've converted the png files to jpg, re-zipped and uploaded the new version of the compilation. The original downloaded fine, it just wouldn't open in the CB+ reader.

With any luck it's all ok now.

As I can't figure out what is wrong with the Famille Rollinson file, I'm going to delete it and leave it for a while before I go back to it.  Apologies.

For all you masked mystery men fans, a Spanish title from 1948, courtesy of the good folk at Aquellos Inolvidables Tebeos, titled Kay y El Lagarto Humano - Kay and the Human Lizard.  Art by Miguel Ripoll.  This compilation is from the pages of El Coyote and is another EAGZA success:-

Courtesy of Boutje, via Zeg, we now have another McLaughlin Buffalo Bill.  This is # 41  - not the 41st Buffalo Bill, but  #41 of the series of comics released by TV Boardman/Popular Press, which included Roy Carson; Blackhawk and Swift Morgan.

Mark reminded me today that I'd done nothing with the Vanguard Library section in Story papers.  Truth to tell, I simply forgot about it. Duly chastened ;)I started downloading pdf issues from Friardale and have made a start on converting them to .cbz.  I've uploaded 3 issues so far and you'll find them here:-
https://comicbookplus.com/?cid=3429
These papers date from 1907 and,  as Friardale notes,
"The paper doesn't age well and is very brittle so perhaps that is why we don't see many issues coming on to the market today."
Also they are not easy to read but as rarities they are due a place on the site.
I do hope no-one asks why we are bothering to upload things like this.  ::)

Also in the Vanguard section is a compilation of a few pages which were reprinted in Picture Fun.  What we have now seems to be all that exists, or has been scanned.
I've added a couple of new, to us, that is, issues of Schoolgirls' Own Library:-

More to follow , time permitting ;D

Worth uploading because these are cultural artefacts - like walking through a time tunnel to see them in their original form and to imagine people buying them at newsstands, hurrying home to their coal fires to settle in for a good read with bread and jam and pots of tea.

All of us who are members here owe a great deal to you, Mark, freddyfly and all the others who devote time and effort to growing this - well, I guess you could call it a people's graphic interactive ethnological museum - but I prefer palace of fun!

This time, a wee treat, a complete 11 page Derickson Dene story from Triumph, 1939 or '40, by the excellent Nat Brand (Len Fullerton). I found the pages on an old cd I was sent from the now defunct ADCCC - I've been having a redd oot. At the moment, there aren't sufficient scans of Triumph to complete another story so apart from a 4 page chapter already in the archives, this seems to be the only complete Dene adventure. I put the pages together and added a front page.  I recommend a read:-

4 more issues of Thriller Comics today.  Thanks to Panther for reminding me they were now available.  These take a short while to sort out as the files have to be opened to extract the mac file inside, then the remaining file has to be renamed. These issues have been scanned from facsimiles. I'm sure you'll enjoy them.

And that rounds out my day! Of all the comics I've lost, a colour copy of a Silver Starr by Stanley Pitt. is the one I most regret. This one I haven't read and I'm very pleased to see it here. Toward the end of his Career, Stanley did a few pieces for DC and also began a Graphic Novel adaptation of Alfred Bester's novel, 'The Stars my Destination.' Never completed I think.
Thank you Paw and leegsidd.

Another Schoolgirls' Picture Library.  #50. You will find it here.
https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=76862
I should add that I had to unzip the original scan and take out the pages to re-zip as it wouldn't upload completely to our site.
I have a couple more but I'll have to do the same with them, so it'll take a wee while.
Enjoy what looks like a lovely comic.

Always a treat to see more SPL's. Some fine artwork in this batch. I've gotten to like the period stories. They have more varied plots and seem to attract the better artists.

A treat today as we have one of the missing Buck Ryan stories, this time #7.  Originally untitled, I've given it the tile of Schultze vows Revenge, which seems appropriate.  The original tiers were researched and collected by Chimp Twist and I did the cover and preface and put the pages together with 2 tiers to a page.
