Something a bit different today as thanks to Mr. Tweedy we have an issue of Pearson's T.V. Picture Stories, a pocket library. This one is Dixon of Dock Green, adapted from the tv show starring Jack Warner. Art is signed by cosmoartis.  You will find it here:-

Well done, I'd forgotten that.  The problem with the tv series was it went on too long,  Warner could hardly walk by the end.

How wonderful to see this - brought back loads of memories.

Was there ever a Z Cars comic book / picture library as far as anyone knows?

There were at least 2 annuals.  I need to look up a guide for dates and refs.
Also No Hiding Place was in TV comic and Pearsons adapted its predecessor, Murder Bag.

I've added a new section for T.V. Picture Stories, the Pearson pocket library.  We had a couple of issues and I've added a few more.  You will find them here:-

I have 2 issues of Emergency-Ward 10 but I need to figure out how to describe/number them.

What gems these are - I can't thank you enough.

Emergency Ward 10 - I have nothing but fond memories of that.

2 issues of the pocket size Emergency-Ward 10, again adapted from the tv show.  These are part of T.V. Pictire Stories but the name doesn't appear on covers or indicia, so I've uploaded them as EW 10.  You'll find them on this page:-

This might even improve Andrew's day slightly.  An example of True Life Picture Library from 1959 - Stranger in the Village.  This series ran for 769 issues.  You will find #206 here:-

Another new section today with Love Story Picture Library.  The series started in 1952? but I can't find how long the run was or how many issues there were.  This is one of the many pocket libraries, this time with girls and women in mind.
I've uploaded 2 of Mr. Tweedy's scans from 1957 and there are a few more to follow, once I've re-done them for our site.
You can find them here:-

From 1955 we have 2 "new" issues of Cowboy Comics, one featuring Buck Jones and the other featuring Kit Carson.  Lovely stuff indeed.  These are from 1955 and the title of this library will soon change to Cowboy Picture Library, but we'll keep posting them to this section - if we get more that is:-

I'm loving these British Pocket series. I don't remember seeing them in Australia, which puzzles me as our local industry was choked by imports from both the US and the UK. And many UK comics were distributed here.
I am also amazed by the quantity for the series.
We have Cowboys comics #151 here. So there were at least #151 titles? Amazing. CB+ now has only 8. Am I right in deducing many of these are now quite rare if not unobtainable?
Would the British or Scottish libraries keep copies?

Cowboy Comics/Cowboy Picture Library went to at least #468.  Scans do turn up, but slowly.  I have another issue to process and I think there might be few more to dig up.  They are difficult as this was the title which really started the pocket library releases.  More info. to follow when I find it. By the way, I think they were issued in Australia.  More research needed.

Old Ink and Paw, thanks for passing along all these Thriller titles. Entertaining stories and lots of great artwork. Septimus Scott is awesome! Interesting to see how many period adventures there were in British comics. Over here, outside of Classics Illustrated there were few attempts at cape-and-sword stuff. Probably because the USA's history is so brief compared to Europe's, the only period adventures that caught on were the Westerns.

Please, upload them.  They are lovely comics.  I'll keep checking for them and approve them as they appear.
I don't have dates for the books but sometimes the ads inside for annuals help get a rough date.  If you any info on dates, let us know.  Great stuff.
I should add that we can only host titles up to about 1960.  Hope that's ok.

For all you superhero fans, we now have the first issue of the French superhero, Fulguros.  He appeared in the title Audax. This is from 1952 with art by Rene Brantonne.  You will find it here:-

And, another superhero, actually, a masked mystery man.  This time, Le Seigneur de La Nuit from 1942.  Originally an Italian strip this is the French reprint.  Artist unknown.  You will find it here:-

An oddity today and I know very little about it.  TBO was a Spanish comic for juveniles which started in 1917.  The book I've uploaded today seems to be a special, reprinting a story from the main series and could be from WW1 or shortly thereafter.  Help needed, please, to date this plus any other info on what appears to be a series.

Another example of Historias y Cuentos de TBO.  This time #50, El Attaque de los Indios, 1922.
I have done some digging and found out a bit about the title and the publisher.  If anyone wants to see many of the covers, with dates appended, try this:-
https://www.tebeosfera.com/galerias/colecciones/tbo_1919_buigas_-historias_y_cuentos-/numeros_ordinarios/1/
The stories are all text strips.
