Wiseman is pushing through these Buck Ryan stories at some rate, and this time we have The Mad Mistress of Montezorro.  All sorts of intrigue and thrills:-

As I managed to make a right horlicks of it, I put story 68 together before this one, #67, which directly precedes The Mad Mistress mayhem.
I have footered about with the front and back pages but if the changes are not to readers' tastes, I'm happy to go back to the usual style and change them.
You'll find The Nervous Hero here:-

Buck Ryan #42 today, The Scrubber.  I'm not quite as happy with my compilation this time.  New pc and not quite up to speed with W10 and document creation yet. Hope this doesn't spoil your enjoyment.

Buck Ryan #44 today and crime at the racetrack.  All sorts of goings on.
I'm still not completely happy with my layouts but at least you get the story. I'll keep experimenting.
More stories to follow.

Something different this time, a second volume of Terry Brent 2 pagers from School Friend.  There may be some repeated tales from the 1st. vol. if so, apologies. The vols are still incomplete so if anyone can assemble more, or do a complete compilation, that would be good.

Our new topic on Schoolgirls' Picture Library made me take a look at what we had and after a couple of failed attempts, because the issues I had contained the macosx page, I've finally managed to upload #2;3;4.
It's a right bugger that mac page and I had to unzip my files to find they were all contaminated - no, it's not too strong a word - and it was easier and quicker to download replacements and re-upload here. Anyway, they're up now and you'll find them here:-
https://comicbookplus.com/?cid=3117
I'll try to fill in more gaps tomorrow, but I'm too knackered now to concentrate.
As I'm not sure who scanned them - there are different uncredited versions floating about - if any one can confirm the scanner, please let me know
Hope you enjoy them.

All being well, we should now have SPL# 1 - 10 complete.  Took a while as I had to unzip and check every issue and re-zip.  You can find them here:-
https://comicbookplus.com/?cid=3117
I'll check in the morning that they all went up ok.

Copious thanks to paw broon and to movielover for the recent spate of Schoolgirl Picture Libraries. I really enjoy these stories, especially the secret society ones. The artwork is uniformly good. It's interesting that despite differing styles from artist to artist, there is an overall look to the schoolgirl stories. Notably there's a conscious effort to keep the drawings "light," even in adventure stories, using lots of pen hatching and staying away from shadows. Alex Toth's issue must have come as something of a shock. Judging by that sample page he stuck to his bold chiaroscuro style.

I do wish someone had an artist index to these comics. I can spot a few styles but I don't know any names.

I've added a few more issues of Thriller Picture Library and more issues of Schoolgirls' Picture Library.
You'll find them here:-

And here:-

While I was about it I've been adding art info. to a lot of our Super Detective Library issues, where I have the info. that is.
Enjoy the comics and please, keep your eyes peeled for more TPL.  I actually might have a clue on another pre-1960 issue but it looks like it might need some work.

A new section in Dutch comics today as I've turned up the complete run of the beeldroman, De Tweede Pimpernel, by Siem Praamsma. These are from 1947/8 and were tiny comics measuring about 5 inches by
3 and 3/4  inches originally.  The ones I'm uploading are compilations courtesy of siempraamsma.com and you'll find them here:-
https://comicbookplus.com/?cid=3426
The rest will take me a wee while as I have to convert them from pdf's.

The rest of the Tweede Pimpernel books today.  That gives us the complete run.  When originally published they were 1 illo. per page.  In the books we have here, each page contains 4 pages from the original - except the first story page of course.

Thanks to Wiseman (and Franco Giacomini on a couple of compilations) I've uploaded more "new" Buck Ryan stories.  Mark helped out with a couple of wee problems on our 1st. attempt but it all looks good now.  The last 3 that I've just this minute uploaded are numbers 63; 69; 74.
Earlier today Mark uploaded numbers 55; 58; 60; 62.  Ta.
All credit to Wiseman (and Franco) for the great work he's put into these reconstructions.  Trebles all round.  ;D

Added to the Sexton Blake compilations today, 7 slim vols from Knockout Annuals and Fun Books.  As I had a broadband outage during upload and had to try again, they might not all appear, but I'll check later.
If they're all up, you'll find them here:-

Finally, after computer problems and a bit of raking through the old desktop files, I found Wiseman's Buck Ryan #72 compilation. After another failed attempt at sorting it out, I eventually managed to fix the file and it now appears in the on site reader and can be downloaded.  For your reading enjoyment, it's here:-

A "new" Italian series from 1936, Nella'Impero degli Incas.  Took me a while to sort out and re-do the files but the first 2 issues are up now, here:-
https://comicbookplus.com/?cid=3443
I have no idea who scanned these books but they were on archive.org as an archive of a discontinued Italian site. Any further info. gratefully received.
More issues to follow.

That would have made a great republic pictures serial.
With the dearth of interesting new film ideas these days some studio should look up these older comic stories and adapt them to the screen.

As an antidote to panicking - I'd lost or misplaced the rest of the Italian series, Nell'Impero degli Incas and have been searching for the folder for 2 days, but I finally found it.  Don't ask, I'm stresssed out - I've uploaded the 8 issue run of the Spanish series, El Rey de la Jungla by Quesada y Alferez.  Scanned by Romaninof.
Another jungle masked mystery man.

The next 3 issues of Nell'Impero degli Incas.  As #6 is missing from the folder, I'll take some time to sort out # 7 - 12 and get back on uploading tomorrow.

If anyone has or fancies searching for #6, we could complete the run.  I've been raking through a lot of obscure sites with no luck. All help gratefully appreciated.
