They are no longer mine so they are always up for improvement. I did not check the site or would have added them myself

Oh-Oh,
Narf, I just noticed Ontology already had scans for Picture News #10 on the site.
If you had anymore to scan we only need #5-8.

I deleted it, perhaps next time adding a test file to a less public area would be an idea.

Aussie, it's all public when any uploads show on The Last 100 Link.

Narf was very close to his mother and I'm sure we all feel for him and his family.
No harm was done and we certainly appreciate all he's done for the site in these difficult times for him and GAC.

Take care all,

I to am sorry for Narf's loss since it seems it was related to that. However there was no explanation what the file was, it did not actually work if you tried to download it and it was in the Small Press Unsorted section, and was not related to GA comics. While I appreciate Narf's hard work if he wanted to post a memorial for his mother the forum would be more appropriate.

You know Aussie that memorial suggestion sounds like a good idea if Narf wanted to do one.  He's a very important member of the GAC family and if he felt like sharing I wouldn't mind.  His message about the funeral had me choked up when he made it.

The upload feature still is buggy gang.  Best wait for us to say when it's good to start uploading again.  Sorry.

The file was only meant as a try file. I was not and am still not able to upload larger files. I was not sure that I could delete the file since I had no admin cp. I guess I should have tried. I was able to  download it once. Yoc's idea is like the one we have for pets. If there was an interest in a memorial thread that others would like to post to we could get the kleenex out.

Narf, I have no problem at all with the idea if you wanted to start a Memorial thread.
The Pets and Us topic is very popular and I enjoy leaning a little bit more about the people behind the names here.

Narf & Yoc,

Picture News #7 is up...hope you like it. The printing job on this one was nice & clean...I have come to appreciate this more & more on these vintage books.

My thanks to you gentlemen...following my natural tendencies, I would have overlooked a series like this. I have enjoyed reading the series as I have worked on them. Expanded my horizons, as they say.

# 8 next on the cue...and it looks as if that will complete the series, non?

Narf & Yoc,

I had independently come across the same scans that Prime found for the Frazetta work in Durango Kid (goldenagecomicbookstories.blogspot.com), issues 1 - 16, and had pulled the covers from Heritage to go with them.

All this before I realized that Prime had already posted Durango Kid 1- 11. I don't want to offend Prime by uploading something that he/she had just done, but I have already edited and compiled issue #1. I am going to go ahead and upload it, and you guys can tell me if I should keep going or not.

I don't want to thread-jack, but this seemed related to the post.

Hi builder,
Actually I found the same scans and even manged to get JVJ Jim to scan the one missing page from a later issue.
I plan on uploading them all as a 'collection' once I pull together a cover.

So don't worry about it.  Glad you brought it up.

Yoc,

I have a sweet collection of cover scans for Durango Kid issues 1 - 16 of the series, and can up them for you if you like.

I have posted the last of the Picture News issues, #008, completing the series. Nice!  I noticed that the book was immediately available for download...was that a glitch or a vote of confidence?

Either way, thanks for the opportunity to be of service. I will move on to Funny Pages 10 and Funny Picture Stories 09 next.

Narf's scans of Funny Picture Stories v2 009 is now edited and up for review...hope you like. There are some nice pieces inside. I always liked Dick Ryan's animal pieces.  I think Tony Millionaire's modern Sock Monkey title borrows heavily from Ryan.

Great stuff...thanks for the opportunity to be of assistance.

I believe that Yoc configured it that JVJ project scanners get self approval. So make sure they are numbered correctly for sorting and being put in the right place. Which you have done fine. thanks

For the first time anywhere a Henry Brewster comic. All Bob Powell story and art. This may be the first MF Enterpise comic ever scanned. Since I can not put in onsite here it is at rapidshare until then
