NotesHere's the second part of the first Volume of the complete collection of Blue Beetle, that covers his early years at Fox (1939-1942). This collection contains: Mystery Men Comics (1939) #16-#21, Blue Beetle (1940) #4-#5, Big 3 (1940) #1-#2. Enjoy!

So now Beetle has a regular girlfriend - Joan Mason - his own Lois Lane - and is imprinting black Beetle tattoos on the villains faces! Dr Franz gives Dan Miracalo pills, no sorry, Vitamin 2X, and he has super-strength and bullets bounce off him. Charles Nicholas Wojtkoski, https://www.lambiek.net/artists/n/nicholas_charles2.htm Interesting that both Charles Nicholas and Blue Beetle ended up at Charlton!
