NotesHere's the fourth Volume of the complete collection of Blue Beetle, that covers his years at Charlton (1954-1956). This collection contains: Space Adventures (1952) #13-#14, Blue Beetle (1955) #18-#21, Nature Boy (1956) #3. Enjoy!

Thank you for this. Hopefully there will be a final volume bringing the Beetle up to date with all the books we are able to Host here. Frabig, I think this is a first - don't think anybody else has put all the Beetle Stories together, even tho the character is PD in this period. For me this volume is' a curate's egg.' The positive is that Joan Mason is a stronger character, even to the point of headlining one story. The Art is excellent. However, Having the Beetle suddenly have Superman's powers because, 'Radiation' - just grates. Doesn't suit the character or the stories. The stories - are typical of the misinformation and misunderstanding about Atomic power and Radiation that were standard in fiction at that time. And they are way too word heavy, for mine. Not nearly as much fun as the earlier stuff. It's a pity we can't complete the collection with the Newspaper strip. Thanks again.

Thank you all! I am glad you liked this chapter of Blue Beetle's history. What is missing now is just Volume 3, which will feature his stories between 1944 and 1950. I'm still working on that because it has a lot of appearances but, just to let you know, it's exactly in 1944, when the character comes back to Fox Feature Syndicate, that he starts to display some powers. I tend to believe it was a choice of E. C. Stoner, because he may not have been familiar with the character and decided to reinvent him a bit.
