How wonderful to see these. The Magnet was a big part of British School boy history. It ran from 1908 to 1940.
The comic introduced us to the boys of Greyfriars School and in particular to the famous Billy Bunter. The Writer was Frank Richards which was the pen name of author Charles Hamilton. I grew up reading the Bunter books' which were mostly reprinted from the Magnet' and I spent many a happy hour in the company of Bunter, Harry Warton, Bob Cherry and their teacher Mr Quelch. The language was so "Jolly Hockey Sticks" and the adventures were so Jolly Good' I cant wait to read them again.
