Par for the course for Fawcett movie-cowboy Westerns, Ken Maynard doesn't really look like himself in the stories in this one. Maynard had last appeared on-screen in 1944, but at least he was still alive (Fawcett started their Tom Mix series in 1948, 8 years after that actor had died). I hope Maynard got a couple of bucks for the rights to his name.

One other point of interest: there are 11 pages of non-Maynard material--a 2-page text story and 9 pages of filler comedy strips, including 2 that aren't even Western-oriented. That leaves just 23 pages for the Maynard stories plus the front and back photo-covers.
