The stories in "Miss Fury" are rather good. I'm surprised, though, to see that throughout most of this sequence the heroine never appears. In fact the only characters are Nazis and the thoroughly evil Baroness. This would have played oddly in the newspapers, spread out over several weeks. I like the way Mills makes the second-string Germans ordinary guys, gossiping and joking as soldiers would.
