A really early Buck Ryan!!!  What a great surprise and delight.  You guys are exceeding all the work that went before.  Brilliant.
Some interesting rhyming slang and just plain slang.  Didn't know "Buzzer".
Great cover.

All the credit goes to Franco Giacomini, who gave me a perfect copy of the story, and to Crash Ryan, who adapted it perfectly, as always. The cover is really a spectacle.

Grazie a Franco, pero era tu che ha fatto quasi tutto il lavoro e voglio ringraziarti.
I think between you, me, Crash, the other contributors who gave invaluable help early on, and now Franco, we've seen the creation of an amazing archive.  Please keep going, 'cos you and Crash are a great team.

I had some fun googling rhyming slang glossaries. Wiktionary lists well-established examples which would probably have been known to Buck Ryan:

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Appendix:Cockney_rhyming_slang

Alderton's dictionary is skewed toward examples from the last four or five decades. I found some funny pop-culture-based expressions here:

http://aldertons.com/home/slang/

One of my favorites is kermit for toilet: bog is slang for toilet > rhymes with Kermit the Frog > drop the rhyming part = "Excuse me, mate, where's the kermit?"

Thanks for the links, Crash.  The problem for many many Scots is that many English don't pronounce the latter "R", especially at the end of words.  It's more suggested.  So the ref. to "Arse" - April in Paris or rhyming "Arse" with "Glass" just doesn't work.  "Cigar" and "La-di-da"?  Nope.
If anyone is remotely interested, where I'm from, in the past, the slang for toilet was (and might still be) "Cludgie".  A curry was known very locally as a Donald Murray, who was a local politician.
Great stuff.
