I ran across an advertisement for Top Spot that pitches the magazine toward "young men" with the picture of a guy who seems to be in his twenties. Sort of a boy's story paper for former boys. The ad is on page 67:

Apparently Top Spot was an experiment aimed at young men (18-20) It only lasted 5 issues because a trade strike put paid to it in 1959. There were only 5 issues preStrike rand CB+ has them all. Tragedy really.
Here is an in-depth article.

Cheers.

I read the Dan Dare site's Top Spot info page (thanks for the link, Panther) and it indicates the title ran 58 issues, not five. The author says the magazine "struggled on with a slightly different format" after the printers' strike. After the 36th issue (in June 1959) Top Spot disappeared for several weeks, then resurfaced. After issue 58 the title merged with Film Fun. So we have 53 more issues to locate...and Patsy may have stuck with Bill after all (sorry, Andrew).

Edit: I just discovered that Lew Stringer posted an article about Top Spot with a number of sample pages.

Crash, I looked around the Web and were only been able to find the first 5 issues. The rest seem to be very rare. Also, the original 5 were published in 1959 and I am wondering whether the later issues are PD or not, which may be why we don't have them.

Interestingly, a complete run of Top Spot does appear to exist - at least in 2008:
