Absolutely gripping story - ten years ahead of its time - more akin to the gritty intricate mythos of someone like Len Deighton.

Also, it's easy to see how the more mature Lesley Shane character may have influenced the Cathy McGowan persona in the early Avengers, with her judo skills, physical strength and beauty.

Some lovely posed shots of Lesley in this episode, particularly during the segment at Le Chat Satanique - made me consider who might have played Lesley in a movie or TV series in the 50s - Jill Adams perhaps or Belinda Lee? Any other suggestions? Sabrina?

Or if we were looking at a movie today - and I hope someone is - I would go for Natalie Dormer, Sarah Miles or Emilia Clarke? How about you?
