I'm struck by the ad for "Kelpidine Chewing Gum (Improved Formula)." Especially the phrase, "Fat Men & Women, who are normally overweight." Does this mean that fat people usually are overweight, which is a no-brainer? Or does it mean the gum only works on normally-fat people but not on abnormally-fat people? I wonder what's in the gum. Kelp? Speed? Both?
