Congratulations on 900 issues, big blue. I still don't know what to make of the story though.
I don't know what to make of it either. Haven't gotten around to reading it yet. Let me know what you think.
I thought it was alright. I think too many writers are just putting themselves under a cape and writing from that view.
Like, Grounded storyline. Is that the writer just swinging in the dark for a storyline?
Or, that controversial story with Supes and the gov't snipers. Sure, we all sympathise with Supes but why couldnt Supes just told the gov't agent to fly off a short runway ... are we supposed to believe there are military types who will actually shoot Supes? I wouldn't. If I was one of those snipers, I'd have put my rifle up and told the guy to go save the planet a few more times before telling me to shoot someone who has.
Or the Doomsday storyline. I'm almost done with Doomsday. He was a great villain but so one dimensional that he's almost used up now. Do the writers really need somebody to threaten Superman physically so much to keep reusing Doomsday? What about a guy who can control Cosmic Entropy.
The study, analyzing measurements of the supermassive black hole mass function, was carried out by two Australian cosmologists: Chas A. Egan from the Australian National University in Canberra, and Charles H. Lineweaver from the University of NSW in Sydney. Their results indicated the entropy at the current cosmic event horizon is much greater than the entropy of the interior of the universe, and the total cosmic entropy is about 100 times greater than previous calculations.
from http://www.physorg.com/news174032146.htmlSounds like a diabolical plot if I ever heard of one. But does Supes take on this? No, he has another thoughtless round of punching Doomsday. Who (suprise!) has a new ability that ... blasts things to pieces. Wow, now he is not such a one dimensional kind of guy.
