Just got back in town to see the box today, Jim.  I opened it up have just glanced at the wonderful stack therein. I had to pinch myself to make sure I hadn't died and gone to Comic Heaven.  How to pick where to dive in?

Thanks, Jim.  They are in good hands.

Everything you say is true, boox,
but I would prefer that we USE UP some of these funds. There haven't been a lot of expenditures in the last six to eight months and it's not as if I'm living on the Postage Fund money. It's just sitting "under my mattress," so I'd rather we SPENT some of it getting some books to people to get scanned and then we can replenish the Fund. I've begun to believe that there's a hex on my comics and as soon as someone agrees to scan some, dreadful curses fall upon them. Please prove this to be a silly superstition and all you scanners please get scanning and help me spend this money.

I just did ran some numbers, folks,
and, at the rate we're going, we have nearly two YEARS worth of postage funds. So we can we temporarily put the JVJ Postage Fund into hiatus until it needs to be replenished? If the situation changes, we'll all know far enough in advance to crank it back up.

Thanks.

Books off to OtherEric today. $18.95.
Balance of the account is now: $318.17.

Once again I will remind everyone that at the present rate of scanning, this is sufficient postage for over three YEARS of the project. I don't mind getting money, but it really seems pointless to simply accumulate it for the pleasure of having it. Please de-emphasize the JVJ Postage Fund in banners and sigs. Thanks.
