This was a serial about which I had read, but which I didn't get the chance to see until the late 1980's on VHS tape. It's typical of the serials that "Jungle Sam" Katzman produced for Columbia release--made both inexpensively and cheaply. (There IS a difference!)

There is an inventive deathtrap in Chapter 8 (see pic on page 3 of this press book.) However, one has to wonder what such a contraption is doing in the basement of a jungle trading post.

There is also a minor glitch in the presentation of this deathtrap on screen. When the switch is thrown, the device is seen to start to turn in one direction. After a cut to a close-up of Congo Bill, we cut back to a two-shot, and the device is spinning in the opposite direction, which direction is maintained throughout the sequence.
