Bill Benulis is an unsung genius, especially when inking his own work, as in the first story.

He apparently only had a short career. He apparently gave up drawing due to the afteraffects of childhood polio.

The Wikipedia article says that he had a distinctive style but if you look at the lambiek examples and the planet comics story they imply a wildly creative imagination. Maybe even Steranko level.
