I read an article on Pre-Code horror called "The Other Guys" by Lawrence Watt-Evans, and I typed some of the titles mentioned in a search engine. That led me to this site. I could get lost in here for days if I am not careful

I love all kinds of comic artists from Winsor McKay to Alex Raymond to Wally Wood to Kirby to Ditko and Carl Barks. I lost interest in new comics ten years ago. I can't get enough of the older ones.

I'm not sure how I found the site originally. I think it was around the time that Wildstorm/ABC was publishing the "Terra Obscura" mini-series, co-plotted by Alan Moore. They used a number of public domain characters, primarily the heroes of Nedor/Standard/Better. I was probably surfing for more info on the characters, particularly the Grim Reaper, when I likely found it.

Now, the Dynamite Entertainments "Project Superpowers" series have tweaked my interest again, even though the idea has been better than the execution on that series.

I've skimmed over the technical section on scanning and cleaning up the scans - you guys do a lot of work to gets these comics up! Thanks a lot.

Alas, I have no Golden Age comics to scan or upload.

Captain audio here, picked the username because I do voiceovers and narations for Indy films and CDs.
Found a link by accident at the Internet Archive site.

great resource, I love the old comics.

I lost hundreds of old comics to a storm damaged storage shed, salvaged a few but none of my real oldies escaped.

If I find any in my rather scattered collection that are public domain I'll try to add them to the site.

I'm so glad I visited you, too. There is such a wealth of material to be
viewed and shared. Unfortunately I cannot upload or download anything
because the password I am trying to use is not being recognized as my
true password. Still, not too long ago, I was able to download an issue of
"All New Comics", but I can't figure out how I was able to do it. For weeks
before that I had not been able to download anything and since then I still
have been unable to download anything. But I truly love browsing around
to see all the issues you have available, and hope that someday I'll be able
to download some more great reading material. Congratulations on a great
website.
