Blue Beetle #14 - 18
« on: May 18, 2009, 11:05:25 PM »

I'm almost sure that if someone had these to scan, they'd be up by now. But I thought I'd put it out there that I'd love to see Blue Beetle #14 through #18 where Sparky appears in costume. Always liked the hero/kid sidekick team-ups from the Golden Age, which probably puts me into a huge minority. Strange that Sparky only went the costume route for five issues as well.

Almost won a fair condition BB #14 on ebay around several months back, but lost the auction. Otherwise I would have scanned the issue and uploaded it here at GAC. Blast it.  :'(

As it is, I've just found out that the #18 I have is the Charlton version, which we already have.  But #24 is on the FTP.

I think Sparky did have powers for a few issues, didn't he?

And thanks, DM!  :)

Once I get through my Mystery Men books I'll start with my Blue Beetle run (I have a complete run of that title). And I'll do some more misc. Fox books (including the full run of Big-3) and I also plan to do my full run of Charlton's Yellowjacket. :)

What?! You have...what?!!  Could your kind indulgence be prevailed upon to please, Please, PLEASE take a momentary break from the wonderful Mystery Men issues and make Yellowjacket #1 you're next scanning job?  That would give us a full run of Yellowjacket on the site as things stand right now!  A full collection of Yellowjacket, the complete Diana the Huntress, etc.!

Don't get me wrong here, I want to see as much of the Fox Features adventure titles coming through as possible--that's why I stress a momentary brake from Mystery Men...just long enough to get us a complete run of Yellowjacket in some form.

I, at least, am happy seeing ANY of these issues get posted--I just think it'd be great seeing YJ #1 sooner rather than later.

However you like to do it best, though.  A great many thanks for all of these terrific issues!  Keep up the bounty!

Attaway, Archiver!  Looking forward to what you have on Rulah, Zoot, and Phantom Lady.  (You can tell what I like about Fox!)

That's awesome, archiver!  ;D

The Blue Beetle #14 - 18 run is a holy grail for me, so I really appreciate it.

I have to reiterate again that I'm totally looking forward to the rest of archiver's Mystery Men and Blue Beetle runs. I feel like a kid waiting for a rash of summer movies to come out.   ;)

You wouldn't have any Weird Comics or Wonderworld Comics (from Fox) stashed away, would you?

Oh well, just thought I'd ask. Those Mystery Men issues and the complete run of Blue Beetle will definitely keep me happy for quite a long time, though. ;D

Please note I've deleted a redundant 13 and moved 24 over to the Holyoke section; since Blue Beetle 12-30 were not from fox.

You might want to check out Blue Beetle 12 under Holyoke as well. I think it might be #13, only with a photoshopped cover showing it as #12.

Looking forward to those Blue Beetle issues, Archiver.  :)

Thank KB,
This problem of people sharing BB13 as 12 has been around for YEARS and is really annoying...

No worries, it gives us something to look forward to.  ;)

I'm so glad that you have that Blue Beetle #14-18 run. Golden Age BB is one of my favorite superhero characters, and it'll be nice to finally have a lot of missing issues plugged in.

Hope archiver is okay (although I know how we can all get swamped by real life things). Still looking forward to those remaining BB issues #15-18.  ;)
