Had to check this out when I read Charlton made changes to it when they reprinted it in 1957.
They objected to. Nyoka's clothing! Like it was still the Victorian period.
Weren't they aware that girls were wearing short-shorts in real life, and that the bikini existed too?
Just goes to show how running scared and fearful of giving offense that the Comics Code people were after the attacks on the industry by the Wertham crusade. Thank goodness the Sixties came in!
