Thought I’d take a look at one of these as we seem to be discussing them as a group. Like Dick, it reminded me most of a crude version of a 1960s British comic – but that’s no bad thing.

Impressed by the clean artwork on Shark Brodie – and coconut bombs too, terrific idea, I want one! (My own version of a coconut bomb is Malibu, fizzy white wine and a slice of lemon)

The art on Kayo Kirby does indeed look like Eisner. I thought there were some decent characters in this book that could be developed – Oran of the Jungle was interesting (would have been more interesting if he’d stayed in the jungle) and Terry O’Brien made a good start. Some fillers though.
