A new section today in the French section, this is for 3 issues of Aventures de Pecos Bill, early to mid '50's,   I've had to attribute these to "unknown" as I lost my notes of where these and other scans came from, and I've been holding off posting them thinking I might turn up the notes. Pecos Bill (french first serie) ran for 8 years (1950-1957), adaptation of an italian comic created in 1949 by Guido Martina (s) drawn by Pier Luigi De Vita, Rafaele Paparella and also D'Ami, Canale and Dino Battaglia.

I have to add that I was reading your site's entry on Cobra and hervhe has posted an explanation of the history of the title that explains the connections very well.  I knew that Cobra and Naja were based on Sadik but thanks to hervhe I now have the Italian and French publishing history.  Also some info on more recent appearances which I knew nothing about.

Hi Dl, no, it was originally a 12 issue comic by Ediciones Cliper in 1949. But to an extent, you're right because there were subsequently additional stories in El Coyote - (50's) and these were full page b&w strips which could easily have been mistaken for a newspaper strip. These are the pages collected in this compilation.
