Updated version of The_Funnies_08.cbz uploaded, with much better scans of the FC, IFC, and BC thanks to Jon.

Starting with my current issue of The Funnies (16), I will be making larger scans as Jon requested, at least for that title. I may go back and upgrade the ones I've already done once I get through my stack, but that will likely be a few months. (I have vastly more appreciation for all the scans people have already done; it's not as simple and not nearly as fast as it looks!)

My current list of projects in order, this should take me at least 2-3 weeks:

The Funnies 16
Jumbo Comics 99
The Funnies 17
Authentic Police Cases 33
The Funnies 18
Animal Comics 26
The Funnies 23
Animal Comics 28
The Funnies 24
? (Leaning towards the Jumbo 39)
The Funnies 25

Unless somebody expresses a strong desire for something else I've mentioned that I have, I'll probably start in on the Quality and Fawcett books after I'm done with those.

Oddball question on the Pogo comic book appearances: the first volume of the Eclipse reprints mentions Pogo appeared across 6 titles. Does anybody have a checklist? All I can come up with is Animal Comics, Our Gang Comics, Albert and Pogo, Santa Claus Funnies, and Pogo Possum. Pogo Parade was all reprint and doesn't seem like it fits in the list; Special Delivery wasn't Dell and also doesn't seem quite right. (I would LOVE to see a copy of that, mind you.)

Yoc, I set up a 4shared folder and uploaded all my Pogos except #12. The only thing is I'm not quite sure how to tel all of you how to access it. see my PM

I can think of no other Pogo appearances in comics. My guess is they're counting Pogo parade.

At Jon's request, I made larger scans on the Funnies. I'll keep doing that but I may move from the Funnies as every 2nd issue I scan to every third; they take a LOT longer. Let me know if it looks better to you, Jon. (And anybody else with an opinion, of course.)

The Authentic Police Cases is only a Baker cover, but it's still a neat book. And I think I'm getting a bit better on the technical end of scanning and putting these together, even if the source material on these two is a little bit rougher than some. In any case, enjoy.

I thought everyone knew about getting covers from Heritage. You have to register to see the archives, but it's a great source of covers. Be sure to download the large image though. I'm sending a 775 pixel wide front cover (they hav emany bigger but not of this one) of Jumbo #39 to Eric

Well he could have simply clicked on one of the above thumbnail images, l included the smaller image because it had better colour, the heritage one was not the best colour wise.

Thanks to everybody who helped out on where I can find a cover scan for next time; I'll know more places to look than the GCD. It looks like somebody (presumably Yoc) went ahead and just added a good cover to my file; I hope everybody enjoys the book.

Yes but neither he nor Narfstar would have known about Heritage for next time which was what i was trying to tell them.

Good point Jon.

Not everyone likes the idea of registering with Heritage as it requires you give them a credit card #.
But I've been with them for... 4 yrs or so, never bought a book and never had anything fishy show up on my card bill.

Excellent source for scans.
