thing is, i keep forgetting to rename the downloaded file for ME, so i'll have to re identify the files for my purposes

It so happens the first book I picked out of the pile was one of mine.
It was 100_S143.cbr 42.27MB I tried to upload it as Treasure Comics #1 in Prize. It went through the normal process but never went to confirm it just went to a blank upload page. Is it necessary to re-upload files? Wouldn't it be easier just to rename? This is the one I tried if it can be renamed.

Thanks for the link narfstar, it has now been renamed and moved, it might be a while before the file itself is renamed though, Serj has a lot of them to rename.

Hi Narf,
That's exactly what we are doing. Once we know what is inside the mystery files we will rename and move them back to their proper sections. Downloaders will still get what they want but the file name they have on their hard drive will appear odd until Serj can figure out a way to rename the actual files.

Hi all,

The process of determining the file contents of unnamed in the unsorted category could be greatly expedited if it were possible to download many files at a time, unattended. Say, select some twenty files, go shopping, come home and check out all the downloaded files for their contents, and post notes for each file in the unsorted section. As things are now, it seems like a lot to ask for volunteers to stand over their machines and select and download just one or two files at a time. There are only so many hours in a day, and in a person's life, and to spend our time on such mindless activities seems pretty inefficient. So, perhaps Serj can assign some kind of access right to certain individuals, enabling them to download lists of, say, twenty files at a time. A lot more work could be done, more quickly, and with less effort and frustration. Can this be done?

Many thanks for all the hard work you folks are putting in on this.

l doubt it, but if 1/4 of our members downloaded 2 files and left comments as to what they were we would probably have them all finished. No we do not expect you to sit there all day downloading, it was just a suggestion for for those who wanted to help out.

having problems here,
downloading is going fine, but it takes me over 1min 20sec to load a page. this was about an hours work! lol

i downloaded the comics first, so my connection was doing nothing else

the forum works fine too.

i'll try again tommorow with a few.
