You will enjoy the discovery that this site does NOT believe that comic books are comprised only of covers. Check out Charlton and Hillman for at least two companies with hot rod comic titles.

Found you guys through some link with another blog or site I was checking out.  Can't even remember what site it was now but I'm glad they had the link there as you certainly have a treasure trove of rarities and goodies that will be educating and entertaining me for years to come.

I was looking for a comic strip image I could use in a website banner, without there being any royalty issues. When I googled "public domain comics" this site came up #1. After having a look around, it seemed like a great resource, so I signed up!

While wandering to find some old comic books on-line, I found this site through Google!  Love to look through the names of the old comics.  They bring back memories.

Do not just look around but feel free to download and enjoy. You will need a different reader for cbz and cbr files. So try out cdisplay or one of the others. Also please contribute comments, comics or cash to keep the site great.

Hi Everyone!  I was looking for a comic that my grandpa was in and I came across your site.  I'm very impressed with what's on here.. :)  Any way the comic I'm looking for is Quality-Military Comics #30 from July of 1944.  It has my Grandpa Joe Longknife featured in one of the stories.  The reason I'm looking for it was because he died shortly after that; the POW Hellship the Shinyo Maru that he was on was sunk by friendly fire and he was one of hundreds that died.  Hopefully the site will let me download this story.
Thanks All,

LK  ;D

The version of CDisplay (I think it was 1.eight) that I downloaded, has opened both cbz and cbr files for me, so try that one.

I found this place by browsing for old comic collections.

Just a quick question. What is the limit per day of comics that is an acceptable amount? I don't want to overstep the mark concerning download limits.

The real limit is ONLY ONE AT A TIME !!!! It is not a daily but monthly limit. When it runs out you will not be able to download until the next month.
