Character is remarkably similar to the Marvel {Timely] original Black Widow, who became an agent on earth for Satan to harvest likely candidates.
Why do I feel that Madame Satan was the template that Stranley may have used?

Don't forget that both early Marvel and early Archie used comic book packagers so some similarities were because the same people were creating stories for different companies (or finished stories were rewritten to sell to another company.)
